W PULSE & DIRECTION INPUT
Used as Master input to CAM, gearbox
and follow functions.
PULSE train input, maximum input frequency of 50kHz.
DIRECTION of count
RESET pulse counter
E STOP INPUT
One input per controller.
Brings all axes to a controlled stop when active.
R FAST POSITION CAPTURE INPUT
One per controller
Captures position of all axes within 30µS.
O ANALOG INPUTS
3 independent analog channels.
10 bit resolution.
Jumper selectable for 10V (differential) or
0-5V (single ended) operation.
Y USER DIGITAL INPUTS
8 digital inputs
May be configured to interrupt user program and call
subroutine.
U HOME INPUT
One per axis
Provides reference position for the axis.
Three modes of homing: on encoder index, on switch,
on both.
I LIMIT
One per axis
Provides end of travel protection.
Crash stop all axes when active.
T DRIVE ERROR INPUT
One per controller
Brings all axes to a crash stop when active.
Input polarity is software configurable.
Q ISOLATED & PROTECTED INPUTS
All the Inputs listed below are PNP, opto-isolated and
reverse bias protected. This means that if the input is
accidentally connected to a negative voltage (e.g. -
24V) no damage will be caused. Inputs are active in
the range 12V to 24V and inactive 0V to 2V. The input
buffer circuit is shown below.
